if we ARE being pedantic, just wanted to respond to the point "the current population in the UK is not overwhelmingly white either". the UK is OVERWHELMINGLY WHITE. leave london and it's soooo whiiite. no other comment, other anon is stupid, just sayin'.

Okay. Having never been to the english countryside, I’ll take your word for it. But I do wonder, considering the population is densest in the major cities with a wide range of people, if it’s just a matter geographical settlement that makes white people seem to be a bigger chunk of the population than they actually are. Then, of course, there’s issues related to perpetuating Euro-centric standards of beauty and the like that people smarter and more well-versed than me have already articulated.

Lmfao, you question intelligence without providing a single counter argument.

Oh, you’re still here.

I know you think you’re making some kind of profound irrefutable statement, but I read your messages and this is all I can think of.

So go ahead and keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s actually kind of amusing.

Whites are responsible for the US and Australia we know today, NOT whoever was there before. Those before lost their claim by right of conquest. White Europeans settled those countries long before you were even born and represent the overwhelming majority today, which is why they are "WHITE" countries. UK is 90% white and no matter how many immigrants flood the place, its heritage will always be the British.

Okay, so context.

This was a post that appeared on my dash: http://angryasiangirlsunited.tumblr.com/post/48481457009/these-are-white-countries-you-fucking-dumb-cunts

This ask was in response to the people who post on the blog calling Vogue out on their overwhelmingly white models.

This was my response to the ask above: http://angryasiangirlsunited.tumblr.com/post/48482077162/oh-are-we-being-pedantic-anon-then-neither-the-us

And now we’ve got this member of Mensa posting in my ask box about this. I could respond to this, but that’d require a level of stupidity that even I cannot fall to. So I’ll just say this: Anon, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this site is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

BCFG!

Whoa, more questions

B) Favourite book

There’s several, depending on various factors, but it usually boils down to three
- Nicholas Nickleby, by Charles Dickens
- The Stand, by Stephen King
- And Then There Were None, by Agatha Christie

I’m not nearly as well-read as I’d like to be, so keep that in mind when you quietly judge my selections

C) Favourite movie

Surprise surprise, this also changes depending on things. But I’d boil it down to
- American Beauty
- Pratidwandi/The Adversary
- Hotel Rwanda
The choices here are heavily influenced by where I was in my life when I saw them, though I’ll still defend them on cinematic grounds too. Atleast the first two; the third I have not revisited in years.

F) A movie people hate that I like

Whoa, there’s quite a few, but I’ll go with the one panned the most, and that’d be M. Night Shyamalan’s Lady in the Water. A lot of people had issues with it, but I loved it, loved the fairytale nature of it, the bleak tone, the performance of Giamatti, I dug it all. It fits in very well with The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, in that it explores fantastical elements in a grounded setting, and how myth gets translated to reality.

G) A movie people like that I dislike

District 9. I don’t hate it, but I’m not high on it either, and the primary reason for that is that I feel like all the social commentary going on in the first half of the movie gets totally abandoned in the second half, in favour of an action film. There’s some interesting ideas presented, but none of them are followed through on, so it feels like a cheat in that sense.

J, R, Y

J) A band/artist I didn’t expect to like, but do

fun. Despite all odds, I’ve actually come to enjoy the three singles of theirs that I’ve heard. And reaching farther back, Maroon 5, whose music I still enjoy, to my surprise.

R) Favourite Ice cream flavour
Chocolate. I will sit and eat a whole tub of chocolate ice cream if my self-control is weak, I am not even kidding. And not even a single-serving tub; a full on family size tub. I will eat it. Do not test me.

Y) Proudest accomplishment

I won the gold medal in a tournament a few years ago for basically memorising 10 pages worth of definitions better than anyone else. Well, that’s not true, I was part of a team of four people, and they were all instrumental in the victory, but we didn’t know each other before the night of the competition.
Lest you think that affected my ego, I also once ripped my jeans by sort of throwing myself over a fence, because I never learned how to climb things. So, you know, I’m basically perfect in every way.

I) AND U)

I) My go-to happy song

They’re not “happy” songs, per se, but both Kanye West’s “Power” and the Jay-Z/Linkin Park collaboration “Numb/Encore” always manage to get me out of a bad mood. For a happy mood, though, I’d say The Beatles’ “Twist and Shout”, because it always reminds me of the parade scene from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, or Weird Al’s “White and Nerdy”. Any song of Weird Al’s, actually, come to think of it.

U) Weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse

I think I’d go with a sword. I waffle between swords and crossbows (no guns, because they’re loud, and likely to run out of ammo), but with crossbows, I’d have to make arrows, whereas I’d just have to keep a sword sharp.

And a car with a spiked grill for when there’s a zombie mob.

K) A popular song I actually enjoy

Hmm…I’m actually quite fond of both the new Justin Timberlake singles, “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors”; they’re both very danceable. Since “Suit & Tie” is higher on the billboard charts, that’ll be my official answer.
